Chloe Wu
Is a professor on fashion design and pattern making. She got her PHD degree in fashion design and engineering from College of Fashion and Design of Donghua University, which is the best fashion and textile university in China. After graduating she became a professor, taught fashion design, pattern making, fabrics and textiles, sewing technique etc. classes in Fashion institute of Shanghai University of Engineering Science. Over ten years ago she came to the USA as a visiting scholar at the department of Textile and Clothing in UCDavis.
She was a teacher since 2001, has over 20 years teaching experience in fashion design and pattern making, supervisor hundreds of students to finish their design and fashion show.
In 2022, she launched “WHY fashion”, a design and pattern making school located in San Jose, for both children and adults. In her school, adults who want to learn design and sewing can design their own style and make it, children who love design can develop their imagination and design their own works. Her rich teaching experience allows her to share her passion and professional skills to the future designers.

设计制作真正的服装
Students design and making the real customized clothing for themselves. We're not Sewing-only courses, WHY fashion provides introduction to fashion alongside lessons on how to sketch a fashion design, draft a pattern for your design, sewing techniques for finishing your projects.
Projects change each season
Students of all ages can return again and again to continue their fashion design and sewing. WHY fashion provides three levels classes to meet all levels' need. The projects change each season of each level, you may learn how to design and sewing a "tiered skirts" of beginner level in this spring, and you can come back for "Bell skirts" for fall season at the same level.
Skills
We teach you all the skills from fashion sketch to make a clothing. Fashion sketch skills make your imagination to be the design on the paper, pattern making skill make you know how to draft a pattern for you design, and fit you perfectly, sewing techniques help you know how to stitch all the fabric pieces together. Additional, we teach the fabrics and color theory during all the classes to help you pick up the right fabric for your design.
For everyone
Don't worry you have no experience for design and sewing. Our curriculum is designed for you all, specialized classed for kids and adults. If your kids who’s crazy for sketching imaginative outfits, they would make their imagination to be real clothing, If you’ve always wanted to make custom-made clothing that fits perfectly, you would learn how to make it, or if you just love the idea of using your hands to create something of your own, our approach makes it easy!
Small class size
Limited Class Size of 6 students, every child get the attention and personalized instructions they deserve.
Professional teacher
Our teacher combines real-world experience with specialized training and bring kindness and empathy along with energy and enthusiasm to the classroom. She is a professor with PHD degree in fashion design and pattern making, over 20years teaching experience, supervised over hundreds of college students and adults.
All materials & tools provided
WHY fashion provides high quality fabrics and accessories needed in all classes, and all the sewing and pattern making tools used by the students. All supplies are included in the class fee! Students take home and keep everything they've made in the class.
课程取消、退款、补课和换课条款

Waiver：WHY Fashion 要求所有 18 岁以下的学生在参加 WHY Fashion 的课程、夏令营或其他活动之前，必须由其父母或监护人签署waiver。

课程注册：我们课程的开设视报名情况而定，如果需要参加某个课程请提前注册并支付课程费用。

课程取消：如果 WHY Fashion 由于入学人数少、恶劣天气或其他不可抗力而取消课程或夏令营等活动，我们将在 10 个工作日内全额退款。

换课程：如果您的孩子注册了某一个课程，但由于一些原因无法过来上课，可以保留您孩子的注册，参加另一个课程的学习，但需提前一周通知（视情况而定）。对于夏令营，您孩子已经注册的夏令营可以换到其他时间的夏令营，但需提前三周通知（视情况而定）。换课程必须两个课程的注册费相同并在六个月内进行。

补课：为了让您的孩子能很好地完成作品，我们为课程周期为5-7 周的服装设计和缝纫课程提供一次补课的机会。可以选择在同一学期的另一个课程时间来补课，需要提前告知，以便我们做好准备。如果您所注册的是少于4周上课周期的课程或单日的活动，我们一般情况下不提供补课程。

缺席：上课开始后任何缺席的学生不能退还学费。如果您的孩子无法在课程开始前加入我们，请告知我们。
退课

课后班课程，如果您在课程或活动开始日期前 7 天以上退课，WHY Fashion 将退还您已支付的学费，扣除 20 美元的手续费用。如果您在课程开始时间前 24 小时通过电子邮件或电话联系我们，您可以将注册的课程换到同时期的另一个课程或换到后面将要开始的课程。如果没有收到取消通知或在上课前 24 小时内致电，您WHYFashion将无法将学费退给您。

夏令营

5月1日前，如需更改或取消： 1. 只要有空余名额，您可以免费将您的孩子换到其他时间段的夏令营。2. 您也可以取消夏令营，我们会按照您原来的付款方式退款，但需要扣除25美元的手续费。

5月1日至6月1日期间，如需更改或取消： 1. 只要有空余名额，您可以免费将您的孩子换到其他时间段的夏令营。2. 您也可以取消夏令营，我们会按照您原来的付款方式退款，但需要扣除95美元的手续费。

6月1日后，如需更改或取消： 1. 只要有空余名额，您可以免费将您的孩子换到其他时间段的夏令营，不提供任何退款或积分。
